FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The Best Free PDF to QBO Converter for Bank Statements

Converting PDF bank statements to QBO format is essential for accountants and bookkeepers who need to import transactions into QuickBooks® Desktop or QuickBooks® Online. Our free PDF to QBO converter supports the top 5 US banks: Bank of America, Chase (JPMorgan), Wells Fargo, Citibank, and US Bank.

Fixing the Bank of America QBO Import Bug

Many QuickBooks® Desktop users encounter the “unable to verify the Financial Institution” error when importing QBO files downloaded directly from Bank of America. This happens because BofA's QBO files contain mismatched FID and INTU.BID values. Our converter generates QBO files with correct, matching FID/INTU.BID values for each bank, eliminating this error entirely.

Check Number Preservation

One of the biggest limitations of bank feeds and downloaded QBO files is that check numbers often don't flow through to the QuickBooks® register. Our converter extracts check numbers directly from your PDF statement and includes them as CHECKNUM tags in the QBO file. This means check numbers appear in your register and are available during reconciliation.

Multiple Export Formats

In addition to QBO (Web Connect), we support CSV and IIF export formats. CSV files can be opened in Excel or Google Sheets for analysis. IIF files provide double-entry accounting records for QuickBooks® Desktop.
